Poison Apple Productions is an independent film production company dedicated to making creative and occasionally unconventional films. While its main focus is to create erotic, sensual films for a demographic of females and couples, films with a truly Australian flavour that can also translate to the global market, Poison Apple continues to make highly arresting documentaries and fictional films.
Working on principles of low budget film making that produce a high quality product, we aim to create niche product that can be accessed and enjoyed by all.
We intend to provide an opportunity for female filmmakers to create the erotica that they would like to see, celebrating the diversity of women’s sexuality in a manner that is humorous, humanistic, sensual and passionate — and celebrating the fact that sometimes we like a quick, hard shag as much as guys do! This means producing well crafted products by women who have worked, and continue to work in the mainstream film industry, and are not simply "hacks with a handy cam” who realised that making porn would be a great way to meet chicks!
Because of these principles we believe our products will stand out in the market place, they are films that explore and push the boundaries of the erotic film genre, taking it places it wants to go.
